End-to-End Project Workflow in Genia

The Genia platform is designed to guide your project logically from an initial architectural concept to a fully engineered set of construction documents. A typical project journey consists of several key stages.

It begins with

  • Project Creation, where you input the high-level architectural and environmental parameters and design constraints, e.g. material choices.
  • Next is Architectural Modeling, where you upload a DWG file and work with Genia AI to refine the architectural model of the building.
  • Once you are satisfied with the architectural model, you trigger the Structural AI Engine to generate multiple design solutions. For each option, you will be able to evaluate it based on high-level summary statistics of structural performance via DCR distributions, as well as material take-offs, cost estimation, and constructibility assessment. You can then compare these options and select the most promising ones to move forward with.
  • The subsequent stage is Structural Plan Editing, where you have full control to modify the AI-generated layout to meet your specific project requirements. After making your edits, you can Re-run the Structural Analysis to verify the performance of your new design and update material selections.
  • For teams that have set up design review, this is followed by the Project Review stage, a collaborative process of feedback and approval.
  • Finally, once the design is complete and approved, you can Export your final deliverables—the DWG structural drawings and PDF calculation sheets.
