We work with homebuilders, architects, and developers across all 50 states, and we're backed by relationships with industry leaders like Suffolk Construction.

We're growing fast and looking for a driven Account Executive to own our expansion into residential new construction.


The Role

You'll be the first point of contact for homebuilders and residential architects who don't yet know Genia exists — and the reason they never go back to waiting three weeks for stamped drawings. This is a hunter role: you'll prospect, build relationships, run demos, and close deals with production builders, custom home firms, design-build companies, and architecture practices focused on residential new construction.

You know this industry. You've sat across the table from a VP of Construction at a regional builder or a principal at a residential architecture firm. You understand their schedules, their pain points, and how to earn their trust.


What You'll Do

  • Build and work a pipeline of homebuilders, residential architects, and developers through outbound outreach, industry events, and your existing network
  • Run discovery calls and product demos that connect Genia's speed and cost advantages directly to a prospect's project timeline and budget pressures
  • Own the full sales cycle from first contact through signed agreement and first project submitted
  • Partner with Genia's engineering and operations teams to ensure new clients have a smooth onboarding experience
  • Represent Genia at industry associations, trade shows, and builder/architect events (NAHB, AIA chapters, local HBAs, etc.)
  • Maintain clean pipeline and activity data in CRM
  • Feed market intelligence back to the product and marketing teams — you're our ears on the ground
Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • 3–7 years of B2B sales experience, with meaningful time selling into homebuilders, residential architects, design-build firms, or adjacent construction industry roles
  • An existing network of decision-makers in residential new construction — GCs, builder procurement leads, architect principals, or real estate developers
  • Proven ability to run a full sales cycle and consistently hit or exceed quota
  • Comfortable selling a technical product to a non-technical buyer — you don't need to be an engineer, but you need to quickly earn the trust of people who are
  • Self-starter who thrives without a large support infrastructure around them
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)


Bonus Points

  • Background in construction technology, proptech, or AEC software sales (Procore, Autodesk, PlanGrid, similar)
  • Existing relationships with production builders (regional or national) or residential architecture firms
  • Understanding of the permitting process and where structural engineering fits in the construction timeline
